In the decade of the seventies, under the vision of Fernando Servitje, some candies were produced in a small chocolate plant called Barcel. In 1972, it was at that small plant where Paleta Payaso was born, although not always was it as we know it today.

Initially, it was made with corn flakes with its characteristic chocolate coating and gummy drops as its eyes and mouth.

Today, Paleta Payaso has changed and is a delicious marshmallow with chocolate coating and its traditional eyes and mouth made with gummy drops.

The combination of taste, character and advertising, sharing the ideas and smiles of young and old it became the “Face of Fun” (“La Cara de la Diversión,” its motto in Spanish) and one of the preferred candies of Mexican families.
