This delicious Venezuelan dish is typical around the holiday time and it contains a mix of American and European ingredients, which relates to its origin during Colonial times. 

The main difference between Hallacas and Bollitos is that Bollitos have all the ingredients mixed together. Whereas an Hallaca will have the dough (masa) and filling clearly separated.
